Virtual Reality Goggles 2018-2020 Gamma Eta's 2018-2020 project is Virtual Reality Goggles. The chapter will purchase a set (5) of Virtual Reality Goggles for schools in Crosbyton, Patton, Matador and Spur. The gifts will be presented to the schools' libraries to be used by teachers in providing virtual reality experiences in places that they would not be able to visit in person. Chapter continued the project and by placing a total of 10 goggles for students in Crosby, Cottle, Dickens, Kent, King and Motley Counties in August 2019. The continuation of the project was made possible by a stipend of $1,500.00 from Alpha State Texas Educational Foundation (ASTEF) presented at the 2019 TSO Convention in Arlington. 2019 Annie Project Presentation
Buddy Bears 2016-2017 Gamma Eta's 2016-2017 is "Buddy Bears". This project is to designed to support our local law enforcement agencies in Cottle, Crosby, Dickens, Kent, King and Motley Counties. At our February 6, 2017, meeting members will be asked to bring brown or tan hand towels. Members will make bears out of the hand towels. These bears will be handed out to police officers, sheriff and sheriff deputies to give to children that are in distress either because of suicide of a family member, death of a family member, domestic violence, sexual assault or CPS involvement. The bears will be tied with a pink or blue ribbon and distributed to local law enforcement officers. A small tag will identify Gamma Eta as the source of the bear. What'll I Do? 2015-2016 Gamma Eta's 2015-2016 Project was "What'll I Do?" After a program in October 2015, chapter members voted to purchase the books by Author Mark Williams. The books were What'll I Do If a Bully Bullies Me?What'll I Do If I Don't Get My Way? and What'll I Do If I Get Angry? Sets of the three books were placed in elementary libraries in Crosbyton, Guthrie, Jayton/Girard, Lorenzo, Motley County, Patton Springs, Ralls and Spur. Kids Kubbies 2013-2015 Gamma Eta's 2013-2015 Project was Kids Kubbies. Gamma Eta provided school supplies for 8 school districts. ASTEF funding made it possible. We received a $500 stipend in 2014 at the Lubbock TSO Convention and a $1000 stipend in 2015 at the San Antonio TSO Convention.
